Uvalde CISD invites UHS/UECHS students to join the Student VOICE Advisory Network (VOICES). This network comprises a group of dedicated students from UHS/UECHS. Uvalde CISD administration and Board of Trustees consider our students one of the most critical components of our system. We want our students to bring their own thoughts and insights directly to the Superintendent, Board of Trustees and other UCISD leaders. VOICES will give input and suggestions on how to make Uvalde CISD a premier school district.  Students will meet monthly during the school year to give input and suggestions to board members and school administrators.

Ninth through twelfth-grade students will be selected to represent each grade level.  Students will serve a one-year term and may be eligible to apply for membership the following year. This is a full school year commitment and attendance is mandatory at all meetings. Upon failure to attend two meetings students will be replaced by the next qualified candidate from their school.

If you are currently a UHS/UECHS Student and interested in serving on VOICES please send your contact information to include your full name, phone number and email address to Jeanette Ball, Ph.D. at jball1019@uvaldecisd.net or call 830-278-6655. Permission slips can be picked up at Uvalde CISD’s Central Office located at 1000 N. Getty or at Uvalde High School. The VOICES Permission slips are due by 3pm on May 1, 2018.
